The counseling program at Wayne State University (WSU) is now a Registered Credential Training Provider (RCTP). CCE has approved WSU courses for both the CCE Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credentials.
“Wayne State University is Michigan’s third largest university, with a diverse global student population,” says CCE Business Development Manager Eli Adjeyi. “We are excited to welcome WSU as an RCTP.”
Registered Credential Training Providers develop and provide training programs that align with CCE credential training requirements for clinical supervision, coaching, telemental health, or career facilitation. To gain RCTP status, a provider must apply and demonstrate that their program meets requirements for the relevant CCE credential.
Wayne State University has specific courses approved to fulfill training requirements for the ACS and GCDF. The RCTP for Universities program allows students to complete the training requirement for these credentials while earning their degree.
RCTP status is a sign of quality training. For professionals pursuing credentials, or just considering their future options, RCTP approval is an appealing factor when choosing a training provider.
The ACS credential identifies mental health professionals who have met national professional supervision standards. GCDF credential holders have voluntarily met high standards in the field of career development. These credentials promote professional identity, visibility, and accountability and encourage professional growth.
Training providers, including universities, can find more information about the RCTP program and apply here.
