Registered Credential Training Provider (RCTP)

The Counselor Education Department at Wayne State University’s College of Education is excited to offer training leading toward the Approved Clinical Supervisor and Global Career Development Facilitator credentials. Our counseling students can graduate with the globally recognized GCDF credential, which aligns with our program’s focus on training counselors who support clients with an integrated vocational and clinical approach. Our doctoral students will be able to graduate with an additional certification as an Approved Clinical Supervisor, contributing to our program’s focus on producing leaders in the field who are highly qualified in supervising counselors.

Professionals interested in earning one of our credentials are required to engage in training to ensure they have access to current best practices in their chosen field.

Registered Credential Training Providers (RCTPs) are dedicated to developing training programs for professionals in the areas of clinical supervision, coaching, telemental health, or career counseling. These training programs are the stepping stones in career advancement through credentialing. It is the provider’s responsibility to ensure that participants understand and can apply the best practices in their field.
